For a client based in Capelle aan den IJssel we are looking for a Structural Design Engineer. In this role you are responsible for the design and structural integrity of structures, prepare structural calculations according to project and client requirements, with high quality and in time, in order to take care of a safe execution and a satisfied customer.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with team to prepare structural design calculations independently for the execution of projects and / or new designs.
• Ensure that designs contribute to safe execution of work.
• Report and keep track on project status and register change hours (changes outside scope of project) during a project.
• Provide input in favor of a project evaluation.
  Receive feedback on practicality of the design.
• Advise and interpreting of the technical feasibility of a QA or tender request and prepare requested calculations to support tender process.
• Ensure structural drawings are in line with the calculation for new designs.
• Prepare, improve, and share in-house developed tools and spreadsheets.
• Assist on supporting documents and calculations for the Fleet department.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by manager or supervisor.

Who are you?

• You have a Higher Vocational Education (Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
  5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Meet all requirements as stated in the company competence and training matrix.
